Golden Star two words that sound like a fairy tale, two words that evoke something beautiful, magic, precious and if these two words are the name of a historical house, no less precious and magic, you will certainly be interested in visiting it on your trip to Prague. And now you have the best opportunity. After a complete reconstruction, in May 2000 the Golden Star House reopened its ancient gate to glitter with its uncomparable beauty. The first written notes of the House date back to 1372 when it was owned by the Mayor of Hradcany. During the next centuries the House changed its owners several times. Among then we can find Czech kings'servants, members of different religious orders and many important Prague burghers. In 172332, when owned by the official of Czech Royal Chamber Baltazar Knapp, the House saw a thorough and expensive reconstruction that put it in the today's shape.
